We are looking for a talented Video Editor to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting.
Ultimately, as a Film and Video Editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story.
Job Responsibilities
- Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format.
- Generate videography ideas for our promotional campaign..
- To shoot, edit and create captivating video, digital media and motion graphic content and stories.
- To take an active lead role in all Media products, performances and events as necessary.
- Splitting or combining video clips, adding appropriate sounds or graphics and watching the finished product to catch mistakes before submitting it for review.
- Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation.
- Improve video and sound quality using various video software.
- Ensure all editing cuts, splices, changes and additions appear seamless and natural and help the story flow more effectively in the finished product.
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.
- Sometimes do the shooting part also.
- To help us maximize our online profile and develop our ever-growing social media presence through the creation of video driven strategies and digital media content
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Any training on professional video editing is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with editing software, including Adobe After Effects, Premier.
- Creative and artistic skills.
- Familiarity with 3D composition and special effects.
- Ability to translate ideas into complete projects.
- Proficient in creating concept boards and other visual representations of planned edits for video projects.
- Able to maintain deadlines.
